Abundance: Do You Deserve It?

Do you deserve abundance?  Are you good enough for wealth?

You know that I think the answer to both of these questions is a resounding YES!… But, let me ask you: do YOU?

I mean, do you really believe you deserve it?

Even if you don’t work hard for it? Even if your friends and family don’t have it? Even if you don’t have the level of skills or education (that your conditioning tells you) you MUST have in order to succeed?

A lot of people don’t believe they deserve wealth unless they really sweat for it. Unless they’ve put in the ‘hard yards’. And even then… if everyone else they know and love can’t have the same kind of prosperity, they’ll often feel too guilty to let themselves have it even if they do feel like they’ve sweated for it.

I see this a lot.

When I work with clients to help them create more abundance in their lives, one of the biggest blocks I come across over and over again is around deservingness.

If you suspect that, deep down, you’re not completely deserving of freedom, choice and abundance in your life… then this may be the very reason you’re struggling financially or are unable to achieve the time freedom you long for.

Because your deeply-held inner subconscious beliefs about money play a powerful role in shaping your outer experience.

Think about it.  We’ve all have beliefs that we came to accept as ‘truths’ due to our upbringing and childhood conditioning. These were typically passed down to us in the form of inherited values from our parents, our role models and our social and cultural influences.

With regard to finances, these beliefs are often expressed in simple sayings such as “money doesn’t grow on trees,” or, “you have to work hard for your money.”  Hearing these expressions over and over from a young age, we internalize their messages.

These hand-me-down beliefs probably entered the cultural consciousness because they served to protect people from pain, harm or disappointment at earlier points in history. Times when there was no middle class for example, when career paths and life opportunities were very different, and when societal norms that would seem outrageous to us now (slavery, anyone?) were still in place.

Although the world may have moved on since then in many ways, and even though we are living in a time of unprecedented change (and opportunity!) externally… many of us continue to hold on tightly to those same unchanged and yet outdated beliefs at a subconscious level.

Often, those beliefs no longer serve us. On the contrary: they have the effect of holding us back in ways we’re not even aware of. That’s why they’re referred to as limiting beliefs.

The Path = The Destination

Here’s a great question: Why do you have to justify any prosperity that may flow into your life, by limiting it to the kind that comes from “hard work”?

 Why?

If you want freedom, choice and abundance in your life… does it really serve you to believe that the path to that has to be one of struggle, hard work and sacrifice?

If your belief about the attributes of the PATH is at odds with the attributes of the DESTINATION, then the destination will always remain just out of reach for you.

Just ponder that for a minute. It’s important. Because, here’s a little-known truth: the path and the destination are one and the same.

Yep.

And the fastest way to get to a life of freedom, choice and abundance is to believe that those things are available to you NOW, and ALWAYS… To believe that those things are part and parcel of your true path.

Thus, if you have a deeply held feeling that you are undeserving of money, or if you’re not convinced that it can come easily to you, this will be reflected in your outer circumstances NOW and ALWAYS.  On the flip side, if you truly believe at a deep, internal level in your own deservingness of wealth… then money has permission to flow into your life easily NOW and ALWAYS.

The subconscious mind always prevails in the end. It also prevails at every stage along the way!

Shift Your Mindset, Shift Your Reality

How, then, can you make the shift from from a mindset of limitation to a solid belief that you truly deserve and can achieve financial freedom?

This is where the real work is. It’s not hard work, and it can be incredibly quick work… yet it is essential work.

Because that’s how the path becomes the destination, and abundance becomes your everyday reality: by believing it into being. And the rewards are incredible!

Like, how does a life of freedom, choice and abundance sound to you? Want it? Well, believe me, you can have it. There’s  process to TRULY believing this though… which I take you through step-by-step in my book The Abundance Code, available on Amazon  here.

And guess what?

You’re worth it!
